KL Management was founded in 2011 by Joseph Lee, who had previously worked as a literary agent at Imprima Korea Agency for 16 years. Lee has successfully sold some 1,000 titles worldwide. KL Management has introduced Korea’s outstanding literary works in more than 40 countries around the worldacross Asia, America, and Europe. A number of titles have been translated into foreign languages including: Han Kang’s The Vegetarian (winner of the Man Booker International Prize), Shin Kyung-sook’s Please Look After Mom (winner of the Man Asian Literary Prize), Hwang Sun-mi’s The Hen Who Dreamed She Could Fly, Pyun Hye-young’s The Hole, and Sohn Won-pyung’s Almond.

With international book fairs affected by the current travel restrictions, we’d like to take this opportunity to introduce new writers and titles from Korea, and share the excellence of Korean literature with overseas publishers.
