The Text Publishing is an independent Melbourne-based publisher of literary and commercial fiction and non-fiction. Text has been awarded the Australian Book Industry Association Small Publisher of the Year three times and won the Leading Edge Books Small Publisher of the Year in 2018 and 2019. We publish a very broad range of fiction and non-fiction, international and local, books for adults and young adults.
I am passionate about discovering new international voices and bringing them into the English language market. Translated books make up about 20 percent of the Text list, and we believe that works in translation are an immensely important contribution to literature. We have a reputation for first-class English translations of books.
The Text Publishing Company seeks out literary works and commissions translations into the English language market. I am interested in meeting editors and publishers with works not yet entirely translated into English. Text Publishing is interested in acquiring more works of Korean literature, and the titles that are successful in Korea. I am interested in creating an ongoing relationship with Korean publishers.
