Restless Books is an independent, nonprofit publisher based in Brooklyn, New York. We publish extraordinary international literature for adults and young readers that feeds our restlessness: our hunger for new perspectives, passion for other cultures and languages, and eagerness to explore beyond the confines of the familiar. Since our founding in 2013, we’ve published nearly 120 books, representing forty different countries and twenty-five different languages. Through our children’s imprint, Yonder, we publish books for young readers of all ages, from picture books to young adult novels. I acquire both adult and children’s titles for Restless Books, and I am very pleased to have recently acquired the first Korean novel for Restless Books The White City Tale (Munhakdongne, 2019), forthcoming in 2022.
Restless Books is constantly looking to find new and exciting authors to add to our growing list of global literature. This program is an exciting opportunity to create new relationships with Korean publishers and authors and learn firsthand about the landscape of Korean literature and discover the exciting titles available for translation. I’m thrilled to be able to introduce Restless Books and our publishing program to the Korean literary community.
